我想在大學裡，無論是研究人員還是學生，都有許多人正在努力尋找新的解決方案，讓科技為民主服務而非與之對抗，更廣泛地說，讓科技為人類服務而非與之對抗。我們希望這種投入和改善世界的願望——即使只是小小的進步——不只停留在研究人員和教授層面，也能傳遞給我們的學生。對他們以及我們的研究社群而言，唐鳳可以是很大的啟發。看到她的成功，讓人相信這些事情在其他地方、在未來也能實現。唐鳳，非常感謝您今天蒞臨演講。也感謝本校正命中心促成這次活動，以及持續舉辦如「永續當下」系列講座等活動，幫助我們不忘所有工作和學習的更廣社會視角，甚至可以說更廣大的目的。

現在唐鳳在牛津大學哲學院工作——多麼貼切，我也代表一個哲學院——研究領域是人工智慧倫理。在我們大學，在我們學院，許多人從不同角度——例如歷史、資訊科學、藝術、政治學、語言學、傳播與媒體科學等等，當然還有倫理學——都非常期待今天能聽到您的分享。從座無虛席的場面就可以看出，還有很多人想來卻無法入場。

當然，我們不奢望每位學生都像唐鳳一樣 14 歲畢業、19 歲創業、41 歲成為部長。

唐鳳的履歷令人驚嘆，稍後我們會聽到更多介紹。在此我只想說一件事：雖然她非凡的創新能力大多在正規教育體系之外發展——19 歲創辦自己的公司，35 歲入閣——而且是一個全新的職位，她之前已經向現有政府展示了這個職位的重要性——她成功地結合科學卓越、政治藝術，以及對人民賦權和民主強化的深切公民動機，這正是我們希望學生從本校學業中獲得的典範。
