So whether it’s food, clothing, housing, or transportation, assistive intelligence doesn’t require “strong AI” to replace humans, but rather supplements aspects that become more challenging with age—through AI, robots, or by “helping the caregivers.” This ultimately creates more opportunities and time for human-to-human connection and meaning-creation. Design oriented in this direction is beneficial to society.
