To your other question about the role social media plays today: I’m advising the Project Liberty Institute, and we’re redesigning ideas around communities online so that we can build upon what’s called open source or free software, decentralized systems. If you’re not happy with any particular policy that a social media platform runs, you can keep your content, keep your relationships, keep your social graph, and just migrate to some other community, where you can then have your own conversation and moderation rules. We’re also advising the team about “The People’s Bid,” trying to buy TikTok with Frank McCourt and Kevin O’Leary leading the bid, to turn TikTok into something like this—where moderation rules aren’t determined by a far-off entity but rather by individual communities.
