Yes.. As I mentioned, this conversation to draw the red lines around the fakes online was facilitated by what I call “Assistive Intelligence.” So it’s also AI, but it’s civic AI, it’s communal AI. The AI is not a huge, see-everything, do-everything, authoritarian ruler that replaces human relation and judgment, but rather it’s more like a facilitator. Like a glorified chess clock. In a room of 10 people, they can see not just the transcript and how much they agree on, but also what other people’s ideas are and how their ideas can combine together. So because of this AI facilitator in 45 rooms, for them to produce a sense-making report usually takes days, but thanks to assistive intelligence, we produced that on the very same day as we held this alignment assembly. And so by the end of the day, those 400 or so people voted on it and showed everyone that more than 85% of people engaged in this process agreed with the final bundle of policy, creating a legitimate consensus.
