We must mobilize the scientific community (more than industry). Think of nuclear history: scientists organized and warned. We need that for AI. It’s also difficult because the same pipelines power commercial uses and military uses. How do we separate? How do we keep beneficial AI while preventing weaponization we can’t foresee? We must empower the UN and international law to draw and enforce those lines—and build public awareness to support them.
