If we put tech in the loop of society, society can demand smaller, pro‑social alternatives. Then small alternatives can actually compete—because people can move, one by one. Big tech will have to innovate—build on open‑source recommendation engines that respect explicit preferences instead of subverting them. They’ll have to adopt pro‑social systems, or people will freely move away. A decentralized, interoperable EuroStack is stronger than building a vertical “European champion” stack.
