Many of these concepts are very much in line with active inference ideas, just expressed with different terminology. There are many different strains in the community looking at different parts of the elephant in the room. But the idea of symbiogenesis—creating more complexity while simplifying things by merging into entities that are indispensable to each other—is a very powerful unifying metaphor.
