So these two aspects complement each other: when capital accumulates, you need to see if it’s used for infrastructure. If so, it enables more people to create meaning and become happier. If it’s not used for this purpose, but instead creates what we call “antisocial” spaces that make people increasingly isolated or imagine others as increasingly malicious or uncomfortable, or promotes extremism, this goes against finding common ground despite different origins, cultures, and backgrounds, where people can understand and listen to each other. One approach is “prosocial” while the other is “antisocial.” Capital can be used either way.
