By very quickly positioning ourselves as demonstrators, not just protesters, that is how the energy was different and resulted in the Sunflower Movement being one of the very rare “Occupy” actions that concluded with the Speaker of the Parliament basically saying, “Okay, the people’s ideas do have a point. Let’s accept their ideas.” That occupation converged instead of diverged over time.
