But then the media need to provide kind of balanced viewpoints so that people can see that my fellow citizens, although we believe in different things, are also human and there are common grounds that we can agree on. So that’s the first thing. And also it needs to be balanced, meaning that if there are these many diverse viewpoints in a society, it should not just let one voice dominate, it should surface the other less commonly known voices so that it can contribute to the epistemic commons, meaning that people can collectively know more than each of us individually.
