The other thing is that it brings civic participation, which is distinct from legitimacy. Legitimacy stems from their transparent, accountable governance structures. But I think what’s interesting about the Taiwanese social sector is that if you go to TFCC, they have a section that is equally prominent as their professional fact checkers, as the citizens report. So you can actually start your own citizen report on the TFCC website, it’s equally prominent, which is quite unusual among IFCN members.
