That’s a great question. Just 10 years ago, in 2014, not only the administration was enjoying only 9.2 percent approval rate, but there was great polarization and discord in Taiwan. The way we overcame it is to treat polarization as a symptom, not a cause. The symptom is the lack of bridges, of credibly neutral institutions in the society.
