I think this makes it last longer. Depending on how good those dashboards are and how vulnerable they are to Goodhart’s Law , you might be able to significantly extend how far up the capability curve you can get before things go horribly wrong quite a long way, but this might not buy you much clock time due to exponentials. That still might be enough to do something else which makes the system long-term stably good.
