In 2019, she was named a “Top 100 Global Thinker” by Foreign Policy magazine. Before joining government, Minister Tang was a political activist, advocating for democracy, transparency, and media literacy. She also held senior positions in various Silicon Valley software companies and spent part of her childhood in Europe.
